In Romans 12:3-8, the Apostle Paul tells us to serve one another with Spiritual Gifts. These gifts are often referred to as God’s creational gifts. In other words, as God was creating us in our mother’s womb, He placed special gifts in each one of us so that we could be a blessing to others. Out of these seven creational gifts, I believe God has given me three; ministry, giving and mercy. I believe that He chose to express these gifts by sending me to speak His Word, share my personal testimony and sing life-giving songs to those who are lost, broken and hurting all over the world.
Music still has a huge impact in our culture today and can touch people in a way that nothing else can. I have witnessed thousands of people express some kind of emotion as I sing the songs God has given me. One song in particular, There’s Somebody Out There, has probably had the greatest impact of any song I’ve ever written or recorded.
Until Jesus comes or He calls me home, which ever happens first, my greatest desire is to see God glorified in everything I do as I travel the world and use my “creational gifts” to serve and bless others.
